A campaign setting that
Jack Levell is writting.
The setting is a high-fantasy world in which magic is commonplace but poorly understood.
Will probably be some variation on
DnD and use
TippingTheScales/VariantRules however large portions of the rules and setting information will be
FindOutInPlay so I'm not putting anything up yet.
The setting has a few things in common with
FadingSuns.
What is the game about?
The game is largely going to be driven by the players. There is room for politics, exploring the unknown, discovering what is
really going on. The players will be encouraged to push the campaign in the direction they want. Party unity is encouraged, if you don't all hang together you will certainly hang seperately.
Player are going to be told plenty about the setting but what is true and what is myth and legend is not going to be clear. Quite a few game stats and rules and things as fundamental as the laws of physics themselves are going to be keep close to the DM's chest. To find out what your character is capable of experimentation and research will be required.
